The Greater Shreveport Chamber and Caddo Parish Public Schools Workforce Development invite you to an informational webinar introducing Caddo Works, a new workforce readiness initiative designed to connect employers with middle and high school students across Caddo Parish.
With rapid shifts in the economy and a growing need for skilled workers, students need earlier, clearer exposure to the world of work. Employers need a strong, local talent pipeline. Caddo Works is a coordinated effort to bring the business and education communities together to meet that challenge.
In this session, you’ll learn how employers can engage in five flexible ways:
-
Provide guest speakers or participate in panels
-
Host student tours of your facilities
-
Support job shadowing or attend career day events
-
Participate in cooperative education efforts
-
Offer internships for high school students
Whether you're a small business, nonprofit, or major employer, your participation can be tailored to what you’re able to offer. You'll also receive coordination support from both the Chamber and the Caddo Parish Public Schools team.
What to expect in the webinar:
-
A clear overview of how Caddo Works will operate this school year
-
How employer activities align with curricular goals and student needs
