The CHRISTUS Shreveport-Bossier ministry includes CHRISTUS Highland Medical Center, an acute inpatient hospital in Shreveport, CHRISTUS Bossier Emergency Hospital, a short stay inpatient and emergency micro-hospital in Bossier City, a surgery center in Shreveport, a rural health center in Coushatta, and over 35 other points of access ranging from outpatient care to inpatient rehabilitation facilities. CHRISTUS Shreveport-Bossier also owns a majority interest in the Advanced Heart and Vascular Center, an outpatient cardiac cath lab jointly operated with Advanced Cardiovascular Specialists, a premier independent cardiology practice in north Louisiana.

Founded in 1894 by Dr. T.E.
